Forest Bathing Series

River Walks is an atmospheric contemporary landscape painting inspired by the restorative feeling of walking through woodland beside a river. Layers of rich greens, deep forest tones and flashes of blue create a sense of dappled light, movement and depth, drawing the eye along the water and into the landscape beyond.

Part of my Forest Bathing series, this original painting explores our emotional connection with nature and the quiet sense of wellbeing that comes from spending time outdoors. I wanted to capture that feeling of slowing down on a woodland walk — the sound of water, filtered light through the trees and the feeling of being completely immersed in nature.

Painted in acrylic and mixed media, River Walks combines expressive mark-making, texture and layered colour to create a contemporary interpretation of the British landscape.
